ABOUT ME AND THE THERAPY I OFFER

I am a British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health And Care Professions (HCPC) registered Counselling Psychologist, with a BA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford, and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from the University of Surrey.

I have been working therapeutically with clients since 2014.

I am a warm, kind, and welcoming person, and I believe that developing the therapeutic relationship is essential, even in goal-oriented work. In addition to this I am also an experienced and skilled practitioner, with in-depth knowledge of multiple therapeutic modalities.

I have worked with clients affected by anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, addiction, bereavement, relationship difficulties, borderline personality disorder, abuse, and loss of motivation.  This has taken place across private practice, the NHS, and charities.

The therapeutic modalities that I use most often are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. With many clients an integrative approach that combines multiple modalities is helpful. As our therapy progresses we may decide to work together in an open and exploratory way, or to take a more focused goal-oriented approach.
