ABOUT ME

I am a British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health And Care Professions (HCPC) registered Counselling Psychologist, with a BA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford, and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from the University of Surrey.

I have been working therapeutically with clients since 2014. In that time I have helped people affected by anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, addiction, bereavement, relationship difficulties, borderline personality disorder, abuse, loss of motivation, and workplace stress.  This has taken place across private practice, the NHS, and charities.

The types of therapy that I use most often are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. With many clients an integrative approach that combines multiple therapies is helpful. As our therapy progresses we may decide to work together in an open and exploratory way, or to take a more focused goal-oriented approach.

I am a warm, kind, and welcoming person, and I believe that developing the therapeutic relationship is essential, even in goal-oriented work. I will work with you to form goals that seem right to you, and will be led by your pace.
